Experimental: Offline Gmail available in Gmail Labs


Offline Gmail is now available as an optional, experimental feature in Gmail Labs. Gmail Labs are unsupported features that may break or behave unexpectedly, so use your discretion before enabling this feature.

Editions included:
Standard, Premier, and Education Editions

Languages included:
US English, UK English (where Gmail Labs is available)

How to access what's new:
End users can enable offline Gmail from the 'Labs' tab in 'Settings'.

Premier Edition administrators must first enable Gmail Labs for their domain for users to see this option. From the administrative control panel, choose 'Email' from the 'Service settings' menu. Check the box next to 'Enable Gmail Labs for my users' and click 'Save changes'. Gmail Labs are unsupported features that may break or behave unexpectedly, so use your discretion before enabling Gmail Labs for your users.

Administrators can now specify authorized Google Video uploaders


Premier Edition administrators can now specify up to 100 authorized Google Video uploaders if they don't want every employee to have uploading capabilities.

How to access what's new:
From the administrative control panel, choose 'Video' from the 'Service settings' menu. Next, enter up to 100 authorized users in the 'Video Uploaders' box and click 'Save changes'.

Custom password strength settings for administrators


Administrators can now set minimum and maximum password length requirements for their users, and view visual indicators of the strength of their users' passwords.

50 user limit for new Standard Edition customers


Starting today, Standard Edition will support a maximum of 50 users for new customers. Existing Standard Edition customers with more than 50 users can continue their current service at no charge, and schools and non-profits of all sizes still have access to the free Education Edition.
